Coveted Colors of 2024

Did someone say drama? Paint just got a lot more personality. It seems like the last 5 years or so it's been a frenzy of grey palettes followed by a boom of “all beige everything” finally landing at the much adored “greige”. While neutrals will always be in style and we will forever love a good beige it's refreshing to see 2024 bring richer hues, more interest and some contrast to the minimalism that's been dominating the design space. In particular, blues and reds dominate this trend. Here are some of our favorites -

Farrow & Ball

Deep, warm and welcoming. Its a vibe!

Farrow & Ball

Inspired by the naturally dramatic Scottish skies. That’s a mood.

We are also seeing the return of “drenching” which AHI loves to suggest to clients. This is where the walls, trim, molding and ceiling are all painted in the color. This has the biggest effect when used with rich colors. Scared of the commitment? Start somewhere small like the powder bath. Small space, big impact!

Finally, we have the rise of the specialty finish. Lime wash and Roman clay has made a comeback and oh are we here for it! The beauty of these finishes is that they can make sense in both a traditional and contemporary home. If you’re not into the loud color moment, why not try a neutral with a Roman Clay finish. If you ask us? Gorgeous! We love to add another layer of texture through these techniques that are subtle yet have a loud impact. We love everything from Portola paints which are not only the highest quality but also eco-friendly.
