How to Stage a Model House
Written by: Rebekah Bowen
There are many ways to stage a model but here are my go-to tips:
1. Make it livable: you want to make sure it looks like someone lives there. Add some toothbrushes in the bathroom, eyeglasses next to the bed, or have fresh flowers out when touring.
2. Less is more: you don’t want to over design, leave it light and airy. It needs to be move-in ready not over cluttered.
3. Keep it Neutral: you want to make the space look like anyone could live there, men, women, and children. Do not make the space masculine or feminine, keep it neutral.
4. Define each space with a purpose: the kitchen should have plates, a coffee maker, dish towels. The closet should have hangers and the bathroom should have a robe and toilet paper.
5. Set the mood: this could be with how you light the rooms or even the scent in the space. Make it feel homey.
